Jungle Temple Blast is an adventure game that features match-3 jewel-collection play. In a tropical jungle, the player helps the main character find hidden gemstones, gold coins and other treasures. The story takes place across 800 levels and 40 unique episodes. The player also attempts to collect three stars and other rewards per level and achieve the highest scores possible.
Each level of the game takes place on a checkered board. The player reviews the tasks on an upper-right Mission panel. They can track their star progress on a bar above the tasks. They also receive a limited number of moves, which they can track in the upper-left area.
The player collects gems by forming sets of three or more identical gemstones or creating and using special items that remove mixed-colored ones. They create these special gems by aligning more than three gems with one move. For example, if they align four matching gems, they create double-sided rockets that clears an entire column or row. If they align five, they create a rainbow-colored flower jewel that removes all gems of one color.
Jungle Temple Blast provides several other powerful gemstone-collection options. The player can merge two side-by-side or stacked special gems. They can also access booster tools below the board, including a star wand that shuffles all gems, a gem bomb that clears an entire board, and a mallet-style hammer that removes a single gem. The player can also earn coins and these tools by playing a spin wheel game or viewing advertisements.
